Disaster Relief

Would you like to join us in supporting relief efforts for victims of Hurricane Florence? Below are some suggested options.

A “First Presbyterian Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) Host Site Ministry Team” has recently been formed under the direction of Fred Butler, Chair of the Domestic and Global Missions Committee and in partnership with the Community Services Committee.  Over the next year or so First Pres will host visiting volunteers organized by the PDA who will work on restoring houses severely damaged during the hurricane.  Volunteers will room and board in the “Penthouse.”  Parishioners who would like to become involved in this rewarding ministry should contact Fred Butler at fbutler1@ec.rr.com or  (910) 612-7143.
