Good Shepherd Center: Come Serve Your Neighbors!

The Good Shepherd Center offers hot meals and a plethora of other services to neighbors in need. Volunteer opportunities are available to prepare and serve meals.

Volunteers will prepare both a fruit and green salad, bread rolls, and desserts. Dinner is served at 5:30 pm, and volunteers should arrive between 3:30 and 3:45.

Domestic Violence Shelter and Services: 

Domestic Violence Shelter and Services needs volunteer help in their offices and Vintage Values stores. To volunteer, visit their website or call 910-343-969  to speak learn more about volunteer opportunities.

WARM: Volunteers needed – No experience necessary!

WARM is in need of local volunteers for rebuilds! WARM’s mission is to repair, rebuild, and make homes accessible; and to inspire service, generosity, and hope. They provide free, safety-related home repairs to low-income homeowners.
No prior building experience is required.
Field supervisors will be onsite with your group all day to assist in teaching and guidance. All materials and tools are provided. Youth ages 14-18 are allowed to volunteer with a chaperone and must have a signed parental consent form.

Help Hub at the Harrelson Center: Greet, Advise, or Organize

Help Hub at the Harrelson Center works locally to provide help with safe and affordable housing, education, employment, health care, and family support for those in need.

Would you like to get involved? Help Hub volunteers are needed to serve as greeters or advisors, or to offer administrative support. Additional phone lines and social distancing measures are in place so that you can help to better serve our neighbors.
