Give

At First Presbyterian, we recognize that giving is both a joy and a responsibility of Christian discipleship. Below are some of the opportunities for giving through our church.

There are many ways to give, such as:
Give by Text– Text the word FIRSTONTHIRD (no spaces) followed by a gift amount (no dollar sign necessary) to the number 73256, and receive a quick link on your phone to complete the transaction. NO sign-in needed!

Cash – Place in the offering plate or contact the church finance office.

Check – Place a check in the offering plate, bring it to the front desk or mail it to the church.

Online – There are two ways to pay online!
1) You can give by debit or credit without creating an account here and scroll through a list of available funds. Use the ‘Optional Memo’ space to specify what it’s for.
2) If you would like to create an online church account to give, print statements and manage your contact information, click here to get started. It’s a great way to be able to give and to access your own records at your convenience from home.

ANNUAL BUDGET
The annual budget is the main source of income for our church programs, staff, and facilities. We encourage all members to support the church by making a pledge to give a percentage of their income to the annual budget. A stewardship campaign is conducted each fall to encourage the congregation towards generous giving. The annual budget is also supported by gifts made to the offering on Sunday morning.

ENDOWMENTS AND OTHER SPECIAL FUNDS
The church has endowments and special funds for benevolence, worship, capital needs, and to support a variety of other ministries. A complete listing of the funds is available through the church office. Memorial Gifts and other gifts can be designated for any of these special funds.

MEMORIAL GIFTS
Memorial gifts may either be designated for a specific fund in the church or left undesignated. Monies accumulated in the undesignated memorials are distributed quarterly by the Session for special needs and projects.

SPECIAL OFFERINGS
The church participates in 5 special offerings each year. These include the Christmas Joy Gift Offering, a Mission Offering, the One Great Hour of Sharing Offering, a Thanksgiving Offering, and a Mother’s Day Offering. Special offerings are also help in response to natural disasters or other immediate needs.

ESTATE GIFTS
The church has an active effort to encourage church members to remember the church in their will.

WISH LISTS
Committees may maintain a wish list of projects that are not able to be funded by the annual budget. These lists can be used to guide members who would like to give above and beyond their other support for the church.
