Fellowship for children birth through fifth grade abounds at First Presbyterian Church. Children as young as three years old enjoy Sunday school classes, choir, fellowship around the tables at Wednesday night suppers, and time with parents on church retreats and special fellowship and learning events like the annual Easter egg hunt, Advent Festival, and special picnics and cookouts.
Top Dogs is a fellowship group for older elementary children, third-fifth grades. The group meets the second Sunday of the month from September-April, from 3-5 p.m. The group enjoys both service and fellowship events. They stuff Easter eggs full of candy for the younger children’s annual egg hunt, they go bowling and have enjoyed a trolley ride around historic Wilmington. They have made emergency kits for homeless neighbors and packed shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child.
First Presbyterian Church cares about children. Volunteers working with children and youth submit to a background check. Read our Child Protection Policy and Background Check Consent forms.
Please read the weekly email, church bulletin, and check the church calendar to find out about all scheduled events. We also send emails to the parents of all children in grades 3-5 to notify them of events. Please check with the church office to make sure your child(ren) is/are included.
